IMAGINE CAMPAIGN

The IMAGINE Campaign is a 3-year initiative composed of facility rejuvenation, debt elimination, and ministry involvement at College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe, KS. This campaign launched on April 1, 2018 and will culminate in April of 2021.

I oversaw the coordination of all marketing pieces, and have led donor followup and engagement as the campaign has progressed. Initial branding was developed with an outside agency, but brand management was my responsibility. I produced all imagery, video shorts, and copywriting.

The Story

IMAGINE THAT YOU OR A LOVED ONE ARE SICK,
but the only clinic within a day's travel doesn't actually have a permanent location or consistent hours of availability. You could risk the travel and pay a local taxi driver to take you and your child over the surrounding mountains... but there is no guarantee that anyone will be there to help when you arrive.

The travel will require most of the funds that you have saved. You desperately want to help your son, but have a tough decision in front of you. This is the everyday reality for those who live in Mapou and Grand Gosier, Haiti. This Advent YOU can help remove these obstacles for hundreds of families and individuals in these Mercy Project partner communities!

When you choose to give or receive One Less Gift--donating what would have been spent on you or a loved one-- you'll help fund the raw materials and skilled community labor needed to establish a permanent healthcare clinic right in the heart of this region.

The plans are in place and Nurse Marie Aline & Dr. Pierre are ready to begin offering healing to the people within their community.

INITIAL PROBLEM/AGITATION ( :60 SECONDS)
‍

‍
Each day comes at us like a rushing current. Moments after waking our minds are flooded with the distractions of life. Notifications demand our attention alongside the ordinary responsibilities of caring for ourselves and those we love. Deep down we know that we’re at our healthiest when we’re walking daily with God, but it’s all too easy for good intentions to be overshadowed by busy days and a cluttered mind. Everything feels important, but nothing feels meaningful.

‍
God isn’t interested in us checking Him off and moving on with our day, only to return tomorrow. We fear that we may only have a few fleeting moments of deep connection to his presence throughout our entire life, but this isn’t how He intended it to be.

How do we intentionally create sacred space for our Creator? How do we say no to the chaos and begin building a habit of meeting with God? The Kairos Journal is designed to help you create space to be alone with God, reflect on your walk with Him, and rest in his infinite Love for you.

NTRODUCTION OF KAIROS & PETE’S STORY ( :75 SECONDS)
‍
Hey there! My name is Pete and I’m the founder of the Kairos journal. As Christians our hearts long to be with Jesus. But what does that look like on a daily basis?

How do we go from squeezing God into our busy schedules and lives to consistently inserting ourselves into His? It starts with a little attitude adjustment. Being busy is an attitude that all too often dictates how we spend our daily lives. If we believe that our relationship with God is #1 but struggle to prioritize it, we can find ourselves stuck on the perpetual treadmill of a busy life - running faster and striving harder but getting nowhere and feeling emptier in the process. Oh and let me back up a moment.

When I say we I really mean me. I found myself on this treadmill. Sometimes I’d get to the end of my day so fast that I forgot it even started.

Sure, there was some consistency to my devotional time with the Lord, but I longed for depth with God that moved beyond checking Him off the to-do list.

With this in mind I wondered what new habits could help me to better engage my time with God. As I learned to lean into my time with God by praying, reading, listening and writing, I noticed a structure forming in all of my journals. Over the course of the past two years, dozens of journals and hundreds of revisions, the Kairos Journal was formed.

Our mission? To help busy christians create more intimacy with God by being more intentional with their time.

EXPLANATION OF DAILY JOURNAL SPREAD (:75 SECONDS)

‍

To encourage intentionality, the Kairos Journal gives you a proven structure for daily time with God. Whether it’s first thing in the morning, or during an afternoon pause, we know it’s not always easy to transition from everyday life one minute to opening up your Bible app and ‘trying’ to get into the word the next.

At its core, the journal is organized and filled with features to help you meditate, memorize, and celebrate. The left side of the Kairos daily spread is the needed prep work for your head and heart before going to God in conversation. The right side of the daily spread is free-flowing and offers space for you to write down how God is speaking to you throughout your day as well as celebrate the answered prayers that you experience each day.

Each journal also includes sections for weekly reflection built to help you record and discern what God is saying to you over an extended period of time. As you are able to clearly focus on what God has been forming in you over a week or longer, you’ll gain confidence in discerning His guiding presence in your life.

CALL TO ACTION
‍

The Kairos Journal gently guides you towards creating habits of memorizing, meditating and celebrating! We have everything in place and our team is ready to begin production of the journal. If this is something that you’re excited about and want to see made -- then I want to ask you to back Daily Kairos on Kickstarter and share the project with others on social media.
‍
Join us on this journey of drawing nearer to the Lord beginning with the intimate moments we share with him every day. Intimacy with Him starts with intentionality by you.Don’t continue to allow the rushing current of distraction to flood your mind and steal the peace God promises. Take a new step towards a deeper relationship with God by investing in the Kairos Journal today.
